The last pay phones on the face of the earth were removed and taken to the dump yesterday. One of the workers, who was tossing the phones in the back if his pickup, asked me if I wanted one.
“Why? So I can call 1980? No thanks,” I said. After all, I have a perfectly malfunctioning cell phone from AT&T that hangs up on people mid-conversation.
RIP, little pay phones. Hope you find some friends at the dump.

Here’s my boy, Mau Mau (aka The Mauster or Mr. Pencil) on A Well Adjusted Pet‘s new hydro treadmill at the Rex Center in Pacifica, CA. Woo Hoo. Go Mau Go. The barking in the background is Jack Jack shouting words of encouragement. Mauster loved the hydro treadmill, and was crazy wild and invigorated the rest of the day. It’s so therapeutic for my old boy plus helps with his waistline. And yes, I did call him “Bubble Butt” in one of the videos, but hey he called me that name first and I wasn’t even in the water.

The Big Guy and I are headed out for New York City tomorrow. Gonna visit my cousin, see some Broadway shows, and go to the ballet. Whooo hoooo. I bought some snacks for the all day plane ride, but I’ve managed to eat most of them yesterday. I’m going to run to the grocery today and buy some more and hope I don’t eat those tonight. Hasta la vista, baby.
